"Collapse" was accepted, and sold, at Federation of Canadian Artists “Painting on the Edge” international juried exhibition.
"Journal" was displayed and sold at the Sooke Fine Arts Show (July 24 to August 3). The scene was captured in Kamloops following a day of moving furniture for an uncle. The sun was low in the sky and my brother-in-law was filling out his daily journal, as he has done for decades. The dramatic backlighting, wood surfaces, and muted colours started out as a study in greys for me, but gradually transformed into an intimate portrait of the man, his journal, and a contemplation of our desire to capture time.
